Arlington chess club provides no individual coaching, but there are a few individual chess coaches in the area. Below is a list of local chess coaches that have regularly played chess with us. Arlington Chess does not endorse or qualify any of these coaches, but we provide this list as a starting point.

Involved in coaching chess for more than a decade, Troy works with kids and adults who are interested in improving their game or just beginning to learn. National Master and 4-time Nebraska State Champion Richard Perry has been coaching kids and adults for seven years. He has a peak US Chess correspondence ratingsof 2372 and holds a Correspondence Chess Master title from the International Correspondence Chess Association. Rich has the experience, chess knowledge and skills to teach a student to reach a master-level rating at chess. His lessons are custom tailored to the specific needs of the student.
